Do you know your hair porosity?

Hair porosity is a term used to describe how your hair absorbs and retains moisture. Like a plant, your hair needs moisture to grow healthily. Lack of moisture is a leading cause for hair breakage. Understanding your hair porosity helps you to filter out tons of hair care products and find the
ones that work best for your hair.

I have high porosity hair.
My afro deflates immediately when doused in water. Give it somewhere between 3-7 minutes and my hair feels completely dry again. My hair tangles easily, feels dry often and rarely looks shiny. This happens because my hair cuticles are naturally wide open. Sadly, moisture exits my hair as quickly as it enters.

Thankfully, I now incorporate sealants into my hair care routine, these products have honestly changed my life! Sealants act as a protective armour sealing the moisture into my hair cuticle. Jaid’Oil products help to ensure your hair is retaining the moisture it needs to flourish.
